Stage Riser Packages

Our modular stage riser packages are complete and ready-to-go stage. Depending on their size and riser height they may include stage safety handrails, stage riser steps, and all the systems will come with any required clamps and fittings.

Easy to assemble, our modular 1m x 1m lightweight stage riser platforms can be put together with no previous experience and no specialist tools needed. The folding riser legs are simple as can be, and attach to the stage platforms quickly, allowing even a single person to put a large stage package together in a short time.

Multiple height options are available including 20cm, 40cm and 60cm, with the addition of 80cm and 100cm to the newest RD750 lightweight system. Our stage riser packages are an ideal solution for schools, churches, bars and restaurants where a quick-to-assemble, easy-to-store, portable stage system is required.

Frequently Asked...

How tall are stage risers?

Stage riser leg units provide a set height once expanded. The standard heights are 20cm, 40cm and 60cm, with the addition of 80cm and 100cm riser options on the latest RD750 lightweight staging.

For the safety of users and any stage-mounted equipment, any stage riser set of 40cm or above should use stage handrails and stage riser steps.

How long does it take to set up a portable stage?

A hard question to answer as factors such as location and the number of persons on hand will affect the time greatly. For a single riser stage deck though, the stage platform and riser legs can be put together in 2 minutes, with an extra 5 minutes if you are attaching handrails.

So for example, a 6m x 4m modular stage with steps and railings should be doable by two persons in around 40 minutes at a normal pace.

What are the benefits of portable staging?

As the title would suggest, the biggest benefit is portability, and more importantly, the ease of which that can be done. These modular stage sets offer immense weight savings over their heavy-duty counterparts, and the reduction of the stage platform size from the standard 2m x 1m to a more manageable 1m x 1m allows for handling by one person and removes the need for a commercial vehicle to transport them.

The collapsable nature of the riser legs means a large stage system can be packed down to a surprisingly compact size, which is perfect for transport and storage.

The modular design of portable staging allows for both the stage area and heights to be altered quickly and easily to suit different events and locations. Single or multiple stage decks can be removed or omitted from a build as required as this has no bearing on the overall structure strength, and the riser leg units can be swapped out for different height units in minutes.

What is mobile staging?

Both our lightweight modular stage and heavy-duty stage platforms are designed to be mobile. They all feature legs and accessories that are designed to be installed and removed quickly with the minimal use of tools or any specialist knowledge requirements.

The stage platforms have no protrusions and are designed to be stacked neatly for storage and transport in bulk, with their aluminium and coated plywood structures being perfectly fine with the occasional soaking when being used outdoors.

In comparison, a traditional stage system is a permanent fixture, usually being constructed from wood and built into a room or hall. They take up a large area and offer no easy options for expansion or reduction in size. And obviously being fixed in place, they can't be taken anywhere.

What is a demountable stage?

The definition of a demountable is a structure, usually consisting of lightweight components, that is specifically designed to be erected and dismantled on multiple occasions. A demountable structure's margins of safety should never be lower than those required for permanent structures.

So modular stage sets and all of our stage platforms for sale can be classed as demountable stage systems, and you may find them referred to in this way by certain websites and forums. It’s not a particularly common term though, and is not one that Stage Concepts use when describing our range of portable and permanent staging equipment.
