The X14FD is an ultra-compact PA or stage monitor system with a revolutionary low distortion, high power handling 14-inch coaxial driver providing the low frequency response equivalent to a 15-inch driver, with the clear and smooth midrange resolution of a 12-inch driver, and the fidelity and power capabilities of a large diaphragm high frequency titanium compression driver.
Amate Audio’s latest version of its Active+ onboard power & DSP control technology offers colour touchscreen operation of the DSP system management, with advanced FIR response filters, system EQ presets, with Dante audio networking and Ethernet / Wi-Fi remote control that allow the X14FD active speakers to be setup and tuned as part of a complete audio system. Amate’s DSPStudio software allows for intuitive parameter settings and status monitoring from tablets or laptops. Ideal for theatres, churches, auditoriums and live stage environments.
The X14FD powered PA speakers feature 1500W Class D bi-amplification, with 1000W to the main driver and 500W to the compression unit. The 14-inch neodymium woofers 3-inch voice coil, and 3-inch compression driver allow a frequency response of 48Hz – 20kHz, with a huge 129dB continuous SPL rating. The system includes intelligent overvoltage protection and DSP controlled thermal management for complete protection.
With its asymmetrical trapezoidal enclosure design, the X14FD active speaker can be hung, flown, stacked or pole mounted in front of house PA applications; or used as a floor wedge monitor on side. The heavy-duty baltic birch ply cabinet is finished with an extremely durable ‘Polyurea’ resin coating, and features a 2mm punched steel grille with grey micro foam cloth backing.
